This artwork explores, study and questions the fact that though some of the oldest human fossils found in many prehistoric sites around the world were those of females, there are no visual representation more popular than 'the march of progress', an iconic illustration of human evolution from ape to homo sapiens created by Rudolph Zallinger in 1965, published in a book titled 'Early Man'.
This particular famous illustration construct how human evolution are represented in all areas of knowledge production sites such as text books, academic journals and the center of pre-historic knowledge conservation and production space; the museums. This work is an attempt to archive and at the same time, construct a fictional approach of history from a female point of view departing from what is collectively agreed upon as the beginning of the human species.
